SMS Sending Failed Displayed While Trying To Send Bulk SMS? Try These....

If "SMS Sending Failed" displays while you're trying to send bulk sms, it might be as a result of one of the following reasons:

1. Message Content or Sender ID Contains Flagged Word

If your Sender ID or the content of the message you want to send contains a flagged word, the message will not go through. It will display "SMS Sending Failed" after you click the "Send" button.

Kindly note that a word containing a flagged word can also trigger the alert. For example, "promo" is a flagged word. If your message contains PROMO, PROMOted, PROMOtion, the message will not go through.


2. Insufficient Balance

If the sms balance on your account is not enough to send the bulksms to all the recipients of the message, you will also see the "SMS Sending Failed Units" alert. So, check the number of pages of the message, the number of phone numbers in your recipients list and ensure your sms balance is enough to send the bulk sms.


3. SMS Provider Out of Credit etc

If "SMS Sending Failed" still displays despite the fact that you have enough sms units and no flagged word in your message content, then the problem might be from your SMS provider. The Bulk SMS provider might be facing some problems at the backend. eg insufficient balance, APi misconfiguration, server downtime etc

The easiest way to confirm this is by sending a simple sms to your phone number only. For example, you can send "Hi" to your phone number only, using your name as sender ID. If such test message fails, then contact your sms provider.
